How can we tell if a Photographer is reliable?
Always look for MPA or BIPP which will tell you that the Photographer is recognised by a Photographic board of a Professional Institute and Association.This should ensure that the Photographer has met certain standards in their work and has Professional backing from the board. It's also important to check that your photographer has Indemnity and Professional Liabilty Insurance.
Why do I need to meet my Photographer before I book?
You will have a photographer with you for a large part of your day, so it is very important that you make sure you get on with whoever you choose. The best way to make sure that your photographer understands you ideas is to meet up either for a chat or a pre-wedding shoot.
Why do Professional Photographers charge more than those that are not?
A Professional Photographer will invest time and money into their ongoing career. Photography equipment is costly as are quality albums and Professionally Printed Photographs.Insurance is also an added cost.
When will our images be ready to view after our Wedding day?
Once the images are taken, the photographer requires time to post-process each image. Each image is checked for colour, contrast and composition and may be enhanced as was previously done in a dark room. This will take up to a week after the wedding, and is the main time consuming activity for the photographer. Photographs should be ready to view after 2-3 weeks. They are then uploaded into a password-protected album for you to view and choose your selection. Proof prints /DVD may be offered if preferrable. Friends and family may also view them when you share your password with them. This allows more personal photographs to be viewed by only those whom you choose.
